Design Studio
SAACEUpload a sketch from the design team. The studio renders it, dresses it in alternative colours and materials, finds what it will sit next to in the market, costs it from your factory rates, and gives a go/no-go review before tooling money is committed.
On "3D": no image model in Azure AI Foundry produces 3D geometry — every option is
text-to-image or image-to-image. What this studio produces is a consistent multi-view render
set (front, 3/4, side, top), which is enough to judge a design but is not a mesh you can
rotate or send to CAM. True sketch-to-mesh needs Trellis, Hunyuan3D or Rodin, none of which are
Foundry first-party models today. Views are generated independently, so treat them as
visualisation, not a measured drawing.
On sketch fidelity: FLUX.2 interprets structure semantically, and there is no ControlNet,
depth or canny conditioning anywhere on Foundry — so proportions and leg count are not
guaranteed. Each render carries an edge-overlap badge against your sketch. Use it to pick
between re-rolls rather than reading the absolute number.
Cost rates are seed placeholders. Rates below were set as illustrative mid-2026 Sri Lankan market placeholders. Replace before any pricing decision is taken.
Edit
costing.json — every figure below is arithmetic over that file, so
nothing is invented, but nothing is right until your factory rates are in it.

A photo of the actual fabric or veneer. FLUX.2-pro takes it as a second
reference, so the variant shows the true weave and sheen instead of a description of it.
Visual index needs building
Lookalike matching compares your render against every scraped product by
appearance, which needs an embedding for each one. This is a
one-time build covering all 3660
products — it takes a few minutes and is reused by every design and every
category page afterwards.

Commercial assumptions
Run the renders, lookalikes and costing first — the
review reads all three. Without them it has only the sketch and the brief to go on.
